A word is dead
when it is said
some say.
I say it just begins
to live that day...

Business Services: Office Memoranda
You may have to write office memoranda on a broad range of issues pertinent to company operations. This can be as simple as promulgating a revised sick day policy or as complex as revamping your entire employee benefits program. Whatever the task, our staff is ready to help. We are fluent in the language of office memoranda and have written countless documents along these lines.

Sample Office Memorandum:

SAFETY: EACH EMPLOYEE'S RESPONSIBILITY

Safety can only be achieved through teamwork. Each employee, supervisor, and manager must practice safety awareness by thinking defensively, anticipating unsafe situations, and reporting unsafe conditions immediately. We consider this a top priority in the company and expect all employees to do the same.

Please observe the following precautions:

  1. Notify your supervisor of any emergency situation. If you are injured or become sick at work, no matter how slightly, you must inform your supervisor or office management immediately.
  2. The use of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs or the abuse of legal prescription drugs during work hours will not be tolerated. The possession of alcohol or illegal drugs on the company's property or in company vehicles is strictly prohibited and may result in terminating your employment.
  3. Use, adjust, and repair machinery and equipment only if you are trained and qualified.
  4. Get help when lifting or moving heavy objects.
  5. Understand the task at hand fully and follow instructions. If you are not sure of the safety procedure or proper way to do the job, don't guess. Ask your supervisor.
  6. Know the locations, contents, and use of first aid and fire fighting equipment.
  7. Carpenters and laborers must wear steel tipped shoes in the field. Sneakers and soft shoes are not acceptable.
  8. You must wear safety glasses when operating power tools.
Job safety is an all-hands operation and violation of safety precautions is in itself an unsafe act. A violation of safety procedures may lead to disciplinary procedures up to and including termination of employment.
